FOR SALE 1965 Rock-ola 429 Starlet

Rock-ola 1493 PrincessThe Rock-Ola Starlet is a stereo valve-powered jukebox with typical 60’s styling featuring a viewing port that lets you watch as it selects and plays your choice of fifty 7” vinyl singles. It’s compact, looks astounding and sounds great. It has under gone a full renovation and benefits from some subtle improvements both technically and aesthetically.

The cabinet has been completely stripped and finished in antique gold. The sides are now clad in a restrained and stylish patterned copper coloured laminate. All the external trim has been chemically cleaned, bead blasted and finally satin chromed, contrasting perfectly with the laser etched centre panel.

The record selection and playing mechanism has been meticulously cleaned, repainted and overhauled replacing every part required. Even a new AC turntable motor has been sourced and fitted, ensuring your jukebox plays at the right speed for years to come.

The original valve amplifier has been totally overhauled and bench tested. Our computer controlled test equipment indicates it now has a total harmonic distortion figure of just 0.3%. A magnetic cartridge (Stanton) conversion has been installed along with a pair of new 12” Celestion Pro speakers, two way crossover and concentrically mounted tweeters. This releases the full potential of the sound system creating mellow bass and subtle highs to make listening a real pleasure.

The coin mechanism all works as it should, taking old 10p coins (7 plays) or it can easily be switched to free play. Fancy hearing your MP3 or CD player through a classic valve amp and a superb sounding, old school, quality speaker system? No problem… we have concealed a stereo mini jack input on the rear panel.

New fluorescent tubes, valves, and castors, even a brand new coin bag – the list goes on. No expense has been spared and many of man-hours have gone it this project. However, the most important part is the end result. You get a beautifully finished jukebox that looks and sounds fantastic that will give you many years of pleasure. It is supplied with records, title strip software, 6 month warrantee ready for you to enjoy!

The pictures show the machine before work started, how the restored mechanism looks and finally the completed jukebox. Please take a look and if you would like more information just call Paul on 07763 719646 or email info@yourjukebox.co.uk now.
